Trinity front full to double tuck, double lay, fhs front double full witha couple steps and OOB.

I’m really surprised that none of the contenders for the Olympic team other than Chiles are trying for Pac Rims or Jesolo.

I would think if you are Skye you would want to prove consistency on an international stage, and DiCello would want to show her improvements with international judging.

This seems like a great way to get blindsided by tight judging in Paris if literally none of the Olympic team will have competed internationally this year.

Rivera did the Gabby Douglas pass (front full to full-in) and was just a little bit short.

Skye rarely seems to go for spring assignments.

This is rather strange to me, because she has struggled so much with consistency at worlds. I can very much see a situation where she continues to be great domestically and then falls apart at the Olympics.

Interesting that Valeri's gymnasts are all doing selection, but Evgeny's are not.

USAG is posting some videos in this Twitter thread

Great point.

There surely isn't enough competition for the team title for it to make a difference there like it did in Tokyo (famous last words) but it's the sort of thing that could very well cost spots in finals.

I can more easily see why Kayla would turn it down, since she's had very little downtime in the past few years and Pan Ams went so well for her. But Skye, you'd really think she would want to get out there and have more international hit routines behind her.

DiCello also didn't go for Worlds in 2022 when she would've easily been selected over Wong.

I think Kayla was mentally done with elite in 2022.

Maybe they are just really preparing for olympics and do not want to get injured.

Caylor's double pike on beam is an injury waiting to happen.

I'd find it hard to put on her the team unless she could prove she can hit multiple times internationally.

I think she was lucky because the US team was not that deep. Hopefully we will have someone else able to take her place.

Now USAG says Jordan Chiles is not verifying for spring selection.

Maybe Chiles originally put her name up for consideration and then withdrew herself from consideration?

I think her spot depends largely on Suni. If Suni shows up looking like a strong UB/BB specialist, it makes it harder for her unless she is the clear 3rd strongest AAer in the field.
