What happened with Carey? There are vague Facebook posts both praising her and saying she was wronged somehow…

They are just bitter that O’Keefe knocked her down to 2nd and out of a national title.

When reality is Carey shouldn’t have broken a 9.9 let alone get a 9.9625 with the slide on her dismount. She definitely got the Olympian bonus, same with Chiles who was lovely on bars also was not a perfect 10.0, she had a noticeable arm bend that was not deducted.

I may or may not have caused a ruckus and received an awful lot of downvotes on Reddit last night for suggesting that I would be pretty less than thrilled by jade winning beam with that mediocre routine last night. I don’t know what people see in that beam performance. There are a dozen other people more deserving.

Utah has not won in any of its gymnasts’ lifetimes.

Here’s to a 49.750 on BB in the last rotation to take the title.

One can dream.

I’m wearing my gymnastics watching shirt. Let’s go Utah!

Am I the only one feeling a bit underwhelmed about this final? I think it will be between Utah and Oklahoma, which doesn’t really turn my crank either way. I’d be down with a Florida upset but it seems very unlikely.

Here we go!

If Oklahoma wins I want them to have to be perfect.Let’s go Utes! 28 years was the last championship. Can Florida rally??

This first rotation can set the meet momentum. If OU drills vaults it will be hard to catch them.
Florida starts on BB, and if they get a 49.0 off the bat they are done.

LSU could get into this if the others give up some ground.
