I am so happy for GB but especially Becky. When she first competed at euros in 2008, GB were 6th and the idea that they could ever be European team champions seemed completely impossible.

France were without Melanie de Jesus dos Santos, Aline Friess and Carolann Heduit, so this was a far weaker team than they would hope to field in Paris.

They could indeed!

I’m not sure exactly what’s gone on but have heard the federation were trying to get everyone to train at either one or two clubs only. And that’s caused problems.

Boston lost 2 well-known sports commentators over the past two years. Every time I watch baseball or basketball, I say “I can’t believe so-and-so is dead”. I think I expected these voices that I grew up listening to would always be there.
