Yep. I remember.
The fact she showed up to Rio looking as strong as she did with the injuries she’d sustained up until that point was remarkable, and after an extended 5-year period before Tokyo, it still took within mere months to qualify for the damn OG. I’m glad no matter what happens, she had an amazing Games, and hopefully, will have at least multiple World/Olympic medals heading into 2022.
SO hard to not play the “what if” games, esp. for a few of the more obvious ones like: BRA / Andrade hitting UB in Doha > possibly medaling / Qualifying a team in 2018. Or, her having been healthy enough for BRA to place 12th in Stuttgart. Or, her having a Cheng sooner > World or Olympic medal in 2016 / 2018. Etc.
Really hope we didn’t just see her miss her last shot at a World AA medal by being unable to compete FX here.
