There has been some fairly eccentric judging this week.

I don’t think it’s really the judging. They downgraded it as the Code says it should be downgraded.

The Code is wrong.

What, Gadirova’s vault? Yes, that was too pikey. I’m thinking more of D’Amato’s clearly short DTY being credited by the same D panel the other day, and the batshit overscores for Sarah and Alice yesterday.

TBH I’m less bothered by the downgrade and more bothered by the total lack of separation in E scores.

Look at how beautiful Kovacs DTY is. I would have gone 9.3 at least.

They should have sent up Alice D’Amato to collect Asia’s medal instead of the coach! Nobody would know the difference

Haha! I suspect actually that’s why they sent the coach. Otherwise journos who didn’t know what happened would mislabel the photo and it would be out there on the internet forever more.

Anyone know if the D’Amatos are actually identical twins? Or are they fraternal twins that look very similar? Because I can tell them apart quite easily but I struggle a LOT with the Gadirovas

Start list has changed to show Martina Maggio in for Asia. I have mixed feelings, I’m glad Asia can be represented by one of her teammates, but Alice has the highest beam score of the competition so far.

I have an 8.4 for Villa. Although contemplating a 3 on that pirouette so could be an 8.2.

The judges had 8.3 but either way she snuck ahead of Bui.
