I don't understand why this is even a question. Women gymnasts are WAY more popular. We're talking a couple orders of magnitude in fact!

Just for a quick comparison:
Ian Gunther has 0.50 million viewers
Sam Mikulak has 0.20 million viewers
Kohei Uchimura has 0.02 million viewers
Khoi Young has 0.14 million viewers
Shinnosuke Oka has 0.10 million viewers

Oka is a legit star now — triple Olympic Champion — and has 1/100 the followers that Rebeca Andrade has.

Frederick Richard only has 694,000 on IG and he’s one of the most popular USA men. He has more on TikTok though.

With 40 million views, the women balance beam final of London 2012 is second most viewed video of competing events on official YouTube Chanel Olympic; only behind Usain Bolt’s

Counted the views of Katelyn Ohashi’s performances on YouTube:

247 million

43 million

393 million

56 million

26 million

=756 million from only 5 videos on YouTube. Will easily over 1 billion if I count for 20 videos of her performances

What is the point you're going for here? Women's gymnastics is far more popular here in the USA than men's. Especially since the women's team will come home with multiple medals while at best, the men are fighting for bronze. And before Stephen Nedoroscik, the last time the men's team had any sort of pop culture impact was 2008 (which incidentally was the last time they won a team medal before Paris) and it was using Kevin Tan's surname as a verb for fucking up (though this was mainly on Oh No They Didn't).

A video of Sunisa Lee’s routine get nearly 10 million views on YouTube

A video of Simone’s biography gain 21 million views on YouTube channel of Olympic.
While a video of Nadia Comenaci routine get 20 million; and another video of Olga Korbut get 16 million views.

No male gymnasts do so.
Reiterating Denn's initial queery -- why is this even a question???? We all know that WAG is FAR more popular than MAG. And you did not need us to tell you that. So what is it you are trying to elicit here? (Scratching my head)

Feels like a gymnastics newbie with a poor command of English.

MAG beats WAG in Japan, right? Maybe a few other countries like Turkyie? But overall, WAG wins the popularity contest.

Japan is most sexiest Asian country, Japanese people don’t watch female sports.

Are Chinese people interest Chinese female gymnastics?

As I know Chinese people love female sports. According to nytimes, In Olympic Beijing 2008, a women weightlifting final watched by 155 million Chinese people, and a women table tennis gold medal match watched by 330 million Chinese.

I can’t find any statistics show the views of Gymnastics events of Olympic 2008 in China. But I think roughly 80-120 million.

Chinese people so much love diving. Are they interesting Gymnastics? Gymnastics and Diving are quite similar.

Interestingly, the top British MAGs have more followers on Instagram than the women. Jake has 400k and Max 300k, whereas Becky and Jess are only just over 100. Max is an outlier in terms of success, so arguably a poor comparison, but Jess has won more than Jake.
