Simone Biles comeback: latest on US Classic Roster

Brady Quinn went on a CBS podcast and revealed that Simone is training for a return to competition:



It does not sound at all like it was his news to break (he even starts with “I’m not sure if this is public or not”), but it’s out there now. Let the speculation begin

“already confirmed that Simone Biles has been training” is an…odd…thing to post. Confirmed by who? Because that certainly seems like something we were unaware of.

But yeah, totally shitty thing of Brady Quinn to do. Why does he get to announce that?

John asked Alicia earlier in the year on a NCAA broadcast and she said that Simone was “back in the gym”. Cecile has also said similar things

There have also been lots of pictures of her in the gym in a leo. It’s just been an open question of if she was there for fun, keeping in shape, making sure she was good for a post-Olympic tour, or something else

A lot of the photos of her in the gym don’t look like normal workouts, but that she was there for a promo shoot. Or maybe she really is that glam 24/7!!

I suspect anything that finds its way to us is going to be at least somewhat curated, if not stylised. We won’t/wouldn’t see Simone looking sweaty and knackered from a really hard training session. Even the more natural looking photos we’ve seen of her in the gym recently, where she’s smiling, the people involved probably consulted her first.

I don’t mean that she would post photos of herself looking a sweaty mess. But the leotard, make up, hairstyle choices just don’t look like an every day training session

Yeah that’s what I mean by curated. If we’re seeing it at all, it’s probably because she either came in specifically for the photos or she was just in the gym for a bit, rather than hard training.

Idk if this was in the social media thread but last week, Wednesday, on gym twitter people spotted her in the background of a shot, at the uneven bars while the pit was being cleaned for spring. And Cecile responded to the tweet. I think she was also spotted in the background of someone else’s training vid, some time last month.



Her wedding date left ample time for a comeback. Even if she were to water down she’ll still be extremely competitive. I’m happy to say I never once have said she is done. She can pop back in again late 2027 ahead of the LA Games, she could be a specialist even. But I shudder to think of what team composition might be then…hopefully 5+ but I fear the worst
