Facebook is also full of boomers being offended about the Drag Queens and their "mockery" of Christians by reenacting the Last Supper. When in reality, the performance was about Greek Dionysus as the God of wine and revelry.

Even when its pointed out with evidence, these folk still deny facts over their feelings.

The best one I saw was a comment on a picture saying “that drag queen is flashing his balls to the children! Groomer!!1” when it was in fact a hole in her stockings…

I’m not mocking the idea of asking questions, I’m just surprised that a subreddit is the first post of call rather than googling when it comes to the basics. Perhaps that’s my age. There are certainly specific questions that are much better suited to a knowledgable crowd than google. Tbh I often read those threads even when I know the answer because I’m interested to see how various people explain it.

Imagine them watching Courage the Cowardly Dog or Ren & Stimpy or The Adventures of Mark Twain where the child characters encountered Satan who created a whole living clay world and genocided it right in front of them.

That's fair. I'm guessing four out of five are too lazy to Google it and the other one knows they'll get a better answer by asking humans.

I try to avoid spending too much time on parenting forums, but let me tell you, the fireworks over the headless Marie Antoinettes was delightful. "My children were so traumatized and scared!"

At least they aren't asking ChatGPT or something and getting a response that is a mix of facts and insane ramblings.
