Laurie Hernandez was awful, full stop. She says absolutely nothing of substance, and on top of that, she repeats the same inane things over and over again. I can almost feel John's frustration in his voice as he tries to talk to her and she just does not pick up what he's putting down.

I’m watching the prime time coverage now and have never been so excited to hear Terry, Tim, and Sam. I don’t love Sam but my bar has lowered drastically since 5:30 this morning

I found the explanation of scoring from NBC during the men's prelims to be condescending. I understand the target audience is four-year fans. But they made it seem like basic addition was an ultra-hard concept to the average person.

My favorite Laurie comment today was for a ROMANIAN BARS routine.
"I don't think that will make bars finals".

DUH, its Romania BARS!!!!

The way she had to assess after every routine whether or not it might make event finals was mind-bogglingly insane. The vast vast vast majority of gymnasts know that their routines will absolutely not be making any event finals. There is more to discuss.
