can we please have Andrade’s Cheng from AA?

and maybe now that I’m asking, also her bb? 😇 I could kind of predict the ballpark of the score from what she had gotten in qualis, but the e-score still looked on the low for me, but I mean, they were all pretty brutal. 8.3 for urazova was also a little wtf

The comparison carey-andrade is ridiculous, specially since they vaulted right after one another

No, I don’t think so. That’s only a gain of 0.1, and she was out of 1st by 0.135.

Ah that’s not counting the nd? She got 15.3 with the nd

Does anyone do a pak salto without the catch deduction?

No, Concorde took it for her too. All the top contenders got it. Obviously no one is taking it out of their routine, it just seems odd that none of the best can do it deduction-free. Is it supposed to be caught nearly in handstand?

I agree that Urazova wUz rObBeD in the AA.

Tokyo spreadsheet, or Kitakyushu? I haven’t found/seen all the routines yet from the AA, but if it happened again, I’m inclined to throw something.

In Tokyo. I think all the Gymnaverse Panel have her beating Melnikova for the AA bronze in Tokyo.

I checked, I had
  1. Andrade 57.7 – still not sure how one gets her Cheng below a 9.5 E. Why do it?
  2. Melnikova 57.3
  3. Lee 57.2
  4. Urazova 57.1
I was and am very happy with the result though, Sunisa was mind-blowing in the AA–her Baitova!!!-- and is a terrific Olympic champion.

the Carey vs Andrade cheng scoring in the AA is a testament of all that’s wrong with this scoring approach. And they even went right after each other.
