I think both of those deductions are heavy-handed.

She’s, like, 120 cm tall and her hips rise significantly into both saltos. Moreover, the fact that the 1.5 is lower is hardly an issue — it’s a technique.

I will say that on replay I noticed form errors on that pass that I could not see in real time due to the video quality, but deducting for height on those two elements is just …

I don’t see that at all.

And yes, I took legs on each salto.

So Denn, you’re at an 8.2 now? I’m at 8.0, with 2 tenths for height on each of those skills. If that’s the only thing we disagree on, then really that’s pretty in-line judging. Especially as it got 8.066 so the panel was very likely 7.9-8.2 ish.

In NCAA, this would get 9.9983.

Those landings would get deducted in NCAA but with the controlled lunge probably 2/3 she could manage clean. No form deductions for NCAA.

I’m not seeing legs on the smaller twists in real time. Even in slow-mo it’s very tiny, like one toe barely crossed over. Deductions mean nothing if it’s being given for that, as compared to actual crossed legs or leg separations.

She has minor leg form/piked body shape issues on each of the Back 3/2 and the Front 1/1, which is clear and visible in real time. Certainly not just “one toe barely crossed over”. Her legs are separated as high as the thigh. See pic above.

A tenth for form on each skill is perfectly fine. And clearly was taken by the judges in the floor who had a much better view than we do in this video.

The daylight between her legs is perceptible.
