I will post scripts of both routines in the near future, but the difference between the Nabievas were as follows:

1. Torso Position : In Qualifications, Lee's torso is more upright, especially as she passes over the high bar. In Team Finals, her torso has a slight forward lean.

2. Hip Angle: Lee's hip angle in Qualifications seems to be a little more open compared to during Team Finals.

While slight differences, the combination of the two makes the piking look more severe and could explain whey the Nabieva was downgraded in Team Finals.

I don't need any routines judged, just wanted to know team USA score without Simone-using the qualifications scores to replace what she did today.

Using qualifications scores, as in, replacing Biles' scores with the 4th person from quals' scores and keeping the remaining scores from TF the same TF scores?

Ok ouch. Obviously the Carey floor score was a big one. If she hit her normal, then I suppose they would have been closer to the top. Thanks.

Knowing what we all know (and the gymnasts and coaching staff knew before we did) about Carey's status at the time, she would never have been put up in a 5-3-3 situation. She had already significantly downgraded in podium training. They would have competed Rivera.

They obviously had a bit of a disaster score on FX though. I think a lot of American casual fans don’t realise that without Biles, USA don’t have a huge advantage. It’s the same as if Brazil lost Andrade, still top gymnasts but others are scoring around the same. USA were lucky they had the depth to absorb all the injuries and still have a strong team.
