Fun stat here: this was the first Games where no WAG left with more than one gold medal. This has never happened before, when you include team the team competition.

That’s so interesting. One thing I loved about that Games was how many gymnasts went home with a medal. The floor final having a 100% hardware rate was such a joy. Not the first time that’s happened in a final, 96 bars for example, but the first I could recall recently. The other three in Atlanta there was only one gymnast in each EF who didn’t win a medal at some point, which I never picked up on at the time.

Gymnast you most hope to see continue on to Paris 2024: Everyone but especially the Gadarovi, they have so much potential.

I asked their coach if they were planning on learning Triple Doubles. He said not right now but wouldn’t rule it out!
