Michigan State had to feel like the deck was stacked against them after UB. Judging has been super inconsistent throughout this meet.

They're not. Ashley Glynn got a 9.9 on vault after she did a cross-step over the directional line.

If they aren't going to actually judge the gymnastics in front of them, then we don't need regionals...Waiting for the arguments that the right team advanced and that makes the judging okay. By that token, the Tennesse meet was fine as well...

I feel like the judging started out really well on the first day, deductions were actually being taken, and has gone steadily downhill as the week has progressed. At this point there may as well just not be judges.

Bummer for Michigan State. Missouri almost had Utah there, the Utes lucky that they weren't able to capitalize.

Florida looked great, MSU fell apart after they gave a half point away in UB landings alone, and Utah did an amazing job digging out of that first rotation hole. Missouri just couldnt close it out. Would have been nice to see an upset, but you really can't fault Utah, they stepped into high gear in the second half of the meet.

Great meet by Florida, credit to Utah for showing composure and keeping it together the rest of the way. The door was there for both Mizzou and MSU, they just did not step through it. The feelings were there after Sienna finished her last beam routine.

Really, I understand the "I am a purist" argument. And shouldn't we have the truest scores, yada yada. But to single out the Florida regional so vehemently just comes across as spiteful. Scoring is crazy across the NCAA, So just go ahead and say I hate that Florida advanced because I hate Florida. Its ok, that's what fandom is, and honestly it shows that this sport is progressing. Look, I hate that LSU advanced because I really hate LSU athletics.

To be clear, I don't hate Florida. I haven't said anything bad about the team or the gymnasts. I don't "hate" any of the teams (unless it's UND in hockey...) It's very clear that this set of regional judges didn't use the same pen across all the teams. Florida had a great meet; they don't need the extra tenths added. And it has been the one where that is clear. When John R. is saying it looks high compared, it's not just me. But whatever.

Idk, did you see last season's final? If OU is putting up 49.8s in the other 3 rotations, they will be just fine. I don't see this nationals being very exciting at all unless it is self created drama (counting a fall). Maybe the battle for 3rd could be tight. Its going to be OU then LSU maybe .200 - .300 behind, then Cal and company another .100 - .200 behind them.

If OU does their normal, they should score high on 3/4 but all it takes is a repeat of yesterday's vault rotation while LSU sticks and LSU are national champions.

The judging at Florida was very fake but luckily it didn't impact who qualified. The right two based on performance advanced.
