Like, for a couple days I was almost able to take NCAA gymnastics seriously. And then I read this and shake my head. Again, this is not a 9.85 in any other regional session
Finnegan – UB – Georgia – Ray, solid height, small arch on hs, pulls it back – pak, straddles it – 1/2 turn on low – FTDT, holds stick. 9.850

I really hope the Gator Goggles don't impact the final results from this regional. I think it was going to take a meltdown for them not to move to regional finals but Sunday it will make a difference...

This meet is bonkers. I think I hope Florida falters and Georgia goes through? I don't even know any more

ETA: who's gonna blow it?!?! Could be anyone

at this point, I'd love it if Missouri and Georgia advanced.... but no way the judges let that happen. So I'll hope Mich St and Utah advance on Sunday...

Georgia ties Michigan State for second (at the moment).

Scratch that, I misread. They're 0.05 behind.

Schreiber hit, Missouri and Florida go through. Props to Georgia for keeping things interesting.

Honestly, I was really pulling for the upset. It keeps things interesting, when the most of the gymnastics itself in NCAA is not.

I got to find a replay of this meet. Those scores were bonkers.

Scores at Cal seemed to be continuing what we saw earlier. High scores on floor, vault very stingy.

Stanford going lights out on beam. And then #6 falls.

Cal 148.225
Stanford 148.200
Auburn 147.500
Southern Utah 147.350

Cal.to floor, which has been scored generously all day. Auburn to beam. Stanford to bars. Nail biter.

Scores went all silly season in the last rotation, but the correct 2 teams advance.

Stanford is peaking at the right time. Just remarkable, given how badly the season started.

Cal 197.800
Stanford 197.600
Auurn 196.800
Southern Utah 196.475

It's going to be super close to see who advances.

If Stanford back up today with another strong performance, they could beat Denver.
