Looking at my twitter timeline, they had a real disaster on VT and falls elsewhere. They must have really struggled, as GB and USA really didn’t sound like they had great days either.
They had seemingly planned to go 3 up 3 count on a few events and it backfired.
Sun Wei might have been injured but he still vaulted, probably because he had to.

They also just had multiple mistakes and falls. It will set up for an interesting team final.

At least I got to walk away safe from this… but as long as I can walk away from this there’ll be more opportunities.”

I hope the final isn’t a splat-fest.

Are the Gymnova springboards slipperier than others? I remember people complaining about Gymnova in the past but I don’t remember what the complaints were.

Just checking in for the first time today, and I gather it’s been a mess all round, but China?? Even if they lost a couple of routines from Sun Wei, 11 points behind Japan is huge. After seeing the performance of both Chinese teams in qualifications I’m wondering if their preparation was off or if their training has been affected by the ongoing Covid situation?

Neck and neck with Nedoroscik. That could end up being the best final.

Crazy fast reaction from Donnell on the springboard there!
