Suni Lee 2024 Olympic VT gold medalist?

Good old USAG incompetence. How do they foul up the roster that badly?!

There was speculation that maybe TCT was waiting for a couple of girls to qualify before submitting their roster for the meet.

Judging Spreadsheet here:

Most execution deductions have not changed, except for Artistry. Cheat Sheets here:

🇧🇧

Artistry on beam is a 12 step checklist. Artistry deductions can now go from 0.0 to 1.2, as follows:
  1. Upper body posture throughout
  2. Amplitude and elongation throughout
  3. Amplitude of leg swings/kicks
  4. Feet not pointed
  5. Lack of releve
  6. Lack of involvement of all body parts
  7. Lack of variation in tempo
  8. Disconnected elements (trick, stop, trick, stop)
  9. Non-A mount
  10. Lack of complex sideways movement
  11. Lack of combination of close to beam movement
  12. More than 1 turn on 2 feet with straight legs
:fx:

The same rubric has been carried over into floor, but with the following changes:

Here are the updated balance beam and floor exercise checklists which are not reflected in the version of the COP currently posted on the FIG website. Conceptually the points are the same, but the language has been revised. Also, it is now deduction for poor work in releve rather than lack of releve.

I wish they’d do away with the sideways movement/ down to the beam move. I understand where it’s coming from but it’s not doing what it aims to. People just tick the boxand everyone’s just left unhappier.

Amazing! Thanks

Any other headline E Panel changes we should discuss before we try and do Winter Cup?

All I can think of is that a brush is now 0.3 and not 0.0, even if it does not disrupt flow.

I am loving the “no structure to the music” deduction

Roster has been updated to include the TCT gymnasts and any new elite qualifiers (including those who retrospectively qualified with the lowered score). Also Kailin Chio has scratched, which is a shame.

Start lists still have not been posted.

Start lists would be nice. I’ve never been good at picking people out during podium training, but with the junior routines having been locked behind Flo’s paywall for the last year I have no idea who anyone is.

which country can you see this on with ipvanish

what time is it starting?

I have peacock on my roku will I be able to stream? if I can I might try to judge live

1 pm.

Interestingly enough both Skye Blakely and Konnor McClain are doing the AA.

I think I’m most curious to see Skye Blakely today. She said her injury at Trials was a torn UCL in her elbow.
