Question - I know there is a date cut off to enter the portal, but is there one to exit (to a new team)? Or are you just in the portal indefinitely and can be picked up at any day from time of entering. As in - if you are not picked up by X date you will not be picked up OR you could be picked up even mid season if a team wanted you

You have a window in which to put your name in the portal. Once you enter the portal you are essentially off the team. You do not have to make a commitment to another school before that window closes, but there are obvious academic deadlines to get enrolled and transferred to your new school. Your current school could take you back, but they are under no obligation. If no one wants you, then you are SOL until you can find a program willing to take you and a school willing to admit you.

I saw GymCastic tweet it out, then saw it on reddit. But I'm also seeing the reddit thread was deleted, so not I'm wondering if the info is wrong. And if so, I feel bad for posting it here.
