Unlikely. Once an athlete enters the portal, they forfeit their place on the team. So it wouldn’t be necessary to dismiss anyone for that reason.

I just saw she is following them on instagram. If Georgia got her and possibly Kara Eaker it would be a huge boost for their ability to compete with the best teams. I'll make a prediction right now... if they do indeed get Selena, UGA will be back in the top 10 this coming year... I'll go out a limb and say possibly the top 5. Wouldn't that be a heck of a turn-around?

immediately after regionals she began liking tweets that were critical of UCLA, then recently reposted a video titled "writing an essay about my coach" and the essay is a slam about the coach of the Op.

Meaning she's been critical of the team on social media. She also just edited a post about being on the team next year to instead saying "big team"

Gossip? Maybe.

Anyone have any insight?

Georgia was not really that bad last year. They were overscored a few times at home, but proved they could put up 197s. Lily Smith having a breakout year helped that. If Harris and Eaker go there it would boost them tremendously.
Selena discussed wanting to go to LA 2028 so being at the Georgia for 2025 +2026 season with Cecile and then maybe Laurent (where ever he ends up) after her graduation would set up for an Olympic run quite nicely.

I know the liking tweets part is true, but I hadn’t heard anything about about an essay or video. Does anyone know what the content was?

Make no mistakes, UCLA athletic department putting it out publicly that she has been dismissed, rather than just confirming she's in the portal is a deliberate choice. They're attempting to sink her transfer options out loud rather than behind the scenes.

So because they are friendly that would keep Selena from transferring to UGA? Not trying to be snarky- just askin. If Selena wants to compete in the 2028 Os having Landi as a coach in college leading up to them would be a great fit for her don't ya think?

No one has any idea yet whether Landi will be a good NCAA coach, let alone one that can effectively manage college athletes pursuing elite.

I get its just a wild prediction. Some others are saying why even speculate about Harris going to UGA but I think its a definite possibility. I'm a UGA fan so I'm hopeful but I DON'T think its wishful thinking that UGA will do much better under Landi and Roberts than the last 3 coaches they've had. I sense some serious mometum building around the program. Getting a couple of awesome gymnasts like Harris and Eaker would put that momemtum into high gear for sure!
