I expect Suni will do as much difficulty as she can safely do. She's never been one for half measures.I hope she sticks to a FTY at Olympic Trials. At this point, it is not necessary.
So this poses an interesting question. If Suni and Jones and Skye are all in the mid 57 AA range at trials….does the 5th athlete on the team even get to complete?Wait though — If, by nationals, Suni is scoring 15.0 on bars (which is realistic given that she has 0.6 in upgrades already planned), 14.9 on beam (already did that) and up to, say, 13.9 on floor, a DTY would make her competitive with Jones.
Which means she could theoretically be a spoiler for the AA... just saying.
She would do the vault (and probably floor) in prelims only of course.
Where does the 13.9 come from? I hadn’t heard she was planning on upgrading her tumbling.Wait though — If, by nationals, Suni is scoring 15.0 on bars (which is realistic given that she has 0.6 in upgrades already planned), 14.9 on beam (already did that) and up to, say, 13.9 on floor, a DTY would make her competitive with Jones.

Theoretically you could let all 4 battle it out in prelims and have the 5th member do vault and floor in finals. Not the strategy I'd go with personally, but it's a possibility. So this poses an interesting question.
