I appreciated more commenting on gymnasts keeping their focus up while on beam. I think Christine or someone from BBC pointed out how Thorsdottir takes her focus out, and this is really supposed to be the norm. Looking down at the beam for the whole routine really ought to be a deduction, but there’s no deduction for a lack of engagement nor expressiveness on beam. I can’t, in good faith, make the case that it is “insufficient involvement of the body parts”
