@MaryClare: it's not directed at you at all. I highlighted it because it's important to drive the point home. I'm very sure that you're a gymnast enthusiast. LOL.....She, the other lady, had micro aggressions and downright implications regarding race and I called her out. Russia may not have that issue that is visible as much but there is little doubt that it exists in American Gymnastics greatly. I liked Donnell because he struggled with consistency, doubt, lack of sponsorships, representation issues, and he's 31 and still competing and winning due to his perseverance.That is most interesting. I particularly appreciate your use of bold text, it certainly brings clarity to a very complex issue. As anyone here will tell you, I am a huge fan of political discourse on a gymnastics message board.
However, appreciative as I am for this opportunity to educate myself, I’m not sure that I personally have any subconscious bias or micro aggressions at all. I don’t care about anyone’s race, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion or politics. I will bait the f*ck out of everyone
