That reference predates me by a few years! But I do actually remember my mum watching Dallas in the early 90s. I liked the theme tune. A banger is a banger.

Back when TV themes meant something. Now you've generally got to look to HBO for good memorable TV theme music (though AMC had its bangers, e.g., The Walking Dead).
