Arkansas were the rightful winner due to that epic beam meltdown but those floor scores were wild.

Kinda crazy Arkansas could beat LSU and Florida and miss SECs.

Ya crazy that Ark has two wins over the top teams in the SEC not because of some amazing gymnastics, but because of two off nights by the visiting teams. I just hope Arky fans are not deluding themselves, they have issues and have not performed to the level that should be reasonably expected. They still scored a low 197 even with some crazy scoring.

Morgan Price scored a 10.0 on UB for Fisk at the Temple tri-meet. It’s clearly not a 10, but the discourse this season surrounding 10’s has just gotten so, uhm, dumb that I totally get why the reaction is that people are generally just congratulating her. It’s my same reaction.

If Jay Clark wants to make himself the story week after week then he will be seen as the ‘diva’ coach. All self generated for whatever reason than flexing after winning a National Championship?

Ive seen worse 10s. But if we are going to be consistent, we should have all the go-along criticism about unrealistic scores, problems with judging, etc, despite the feel-good story.

This is a tough one, because I really want to celebrate the milestone, and she is an amazing athlete who did a beautiful routine that deserves to be praised, but it was clearly not "perfect". You guys are right, though. I have seen worse. I wish people would stop expecting 10s. I hate commentators saying "that might just be a 10!" after every great routine, and then sounding disappointed that the judges only gave it a 9.9. It should be good enough that it was a great routine. It may not be "perfect", but a 9.9 routine is absolutely worth celebrating on its own merits. Anyway... beautiful routine nonetheless. Good for her!
