She had the highest D score after Carey’s D score was lowered. Even if her execution was up a bit, she was still the rightful winner.

This is specifically where I disagree. You can’t compare two different panels like that. I just watched her AA routine and it was pretty similar to today’s routine, I’m not so convinced she would have medalled.

Just cleaning up her landings would have given her at least the silver here. She took more than one step backwards out of the double tuck. She should be sticking that.

It was not the artistry that did it today, it was the landing deductions.
If anything she needs to downgrade her tumbling and work on sticking landings. She had better landings earlier this year.

She got dinged on her passes too, today. They were worse than in the AA and her lower E score fairly reflected that.
