Ashlee Sullivan is probably going to be an amazing NCAA athlete, especially now that she's fixed her back handsprings on floor... these bent arms made me want to dieRumor has it that Ashlee Sullivan has de-committed to Michigan as she has unfollowed Michigan on her socials, she is currently following UCLA and their coaches, so speculation is will go to UCLA instead.
I'm sure they will play it off all nice and supportive of the athlete but Michigan would have every right to be pissed about it. She's been telling them for months she is still coming despite removing anything Michigan from her socials so they are really being left on the back foot here.Rumor has it that Ashlee Sullivan has de-committed to Michigan as she has unfollowed Michigan on her socials, she is currently following UCLA and their coaches, so speculation is will go to UCLA instead.
I dont think so. Based on what the All Things Gymnastics pod hosts have been saying (they spend heaps of time with the Michigan program), this is all coming from Sullivan. Michigan have been desperate to keep her.Very curious about Sullivan. I know NLI is dead but my understanding was that the new commitment letters were binding. Sullivan could back out, but she can't go anywhere else without Michigan releasing her.
Speculating, but is it possible Michigan determined she's not academically eligible to admit? Although UCLA is known for being strict about that, too. Back in the day, it was the reason that Ashley Postell ended up at Utah, not UCLA.
I mean, for an athlete like Sullivan who is finally having some international elite success just before she'll enter university, I can completely understand wanting to be part of a team chasing titles, 18 years old or not. But yes I'm also curious to hear if there's more to it...Well, now I'm even more curious what's prompting this. Surely it has to be more than just "Michigan isn't nearly as good as I thought they would be when I committed. They're not even the top program in the state!"
Or not. 18 year olds can be so fickle.
