I dunno, Simone has never been shy about saying what she really thinks. One of her more endearing qualities, IMO

For most people I'd agree. Simone is in a position where she doesn't have to worry about pissing the judges off. There's no gymnast who's had this level of power before.

Sometimes, but if anything Simone doing this in the floor final was a premonition. Had the FIG followed the same belt and braces approach as she did there, we wouldn't have had to sit through the bronze fiasco. They ought to have heeded her!

I agree with this, honestly. While I often am on Simone's side in regards to the issue at hand, escalating drama doesn't usually resolve it. That said given all she's been through I can understand not having a great attitude towards those in authority.

I think this is my issue. To get into that level of conditioning again wouldn’t be for a half-assed comeback.
