I did like Sasha's emphasis on trust with Emily though. It is important to trust your coach.Tbf Kaylie’s VT and BB dismount changes from episode to episode and Sasha’s VT coaching consists of telling Emily “if you can do a yurchenko full then you can do a 1.5”. Skill development is unrealistic for everyone.
Yea the battle for gym space was funny.I agree that Emily’s trust issues were a good throughline. Previously I’ve found Emily’s scenes boring and I tended to double screen them, but this time round I’m finding the Emily-Damon story more impactful. A few years ago I did a rewatch where it was the parental storylines that really hit home. The joy of rewatching!
I’m behind you, they’ve just come back from the Calais comp and done the MAG vs WAG battle for gym space (still funny). You have some fun plots ahead of you! Please keep posting your reactions.
It’s all on dailymotionKinda mad at myself that I gave away my DVD collection of the series several years ago. Would love to do a rewatch.
ooooh. My mom and I were wondering why her character seemed to just disappear. The actress was pregnant. There wasn’t any other way to handle it except killing the character.![]()
I'm not sure I like this new girl who seems to be causing all the trouble though. And wondering what is going on with Lauren's dizzy spells. The change of scenery and dynamics for the camp season is refreshing.
Yea I definitely struggled with dance as a younger teen because I had never been technically trained. Took a couple ballet classes to remedy that though and it was fine.I just watched the new floor choreography episode for the first time since starting adult gymnastics. Can definitely now relate to Emily in terms of how difficult it is to manage dance when you've never been trained.
I know it was completely innocent, but as one of the welfare officers for my club I couldn't help but imagine the incident report forms that would need completing for a coach taking a minor to the ballet!

Yep, this is definitely a British thing.I'm completely incapable of watching any TV programme / film that covers any kind of job or activity I'm ever been even tangentially involved in without doing a running commentary of "Well that would never happen" or "but what about..."
I'm great fun to be around, as you can imagine.
A few years back I was at a wedding and shared a table with someone who's a pathologist - I made the mistake of making a Silent Witness joke and spent the next two hours listening to the most extraordinary rant you've ever heard. When I asked why he didn't just not watch it he looked confused and said "Because I have to see how wrong it will be this week".Yep, this is definitely a British thing.
Its hilarious and just not a thing with people from other countries. My dad has lived in Britain for 30 years now, but I’ve seen him, Soviet born and raised boxer, sit through the entirety of Rocky without one single comment regarding authenticity. I can’t watch Angelina Ballerina with my children without commenting that she’s doing it wrong. She’s an animated mouse.A few years back I was at a wedding and shared a table with someone who's a pathologist - I made the mistake of making a Silent Witness joke and spent the next two hours listening to the most extraordinary rant you've ever heard.
