LMAO @ China. They must have finally figured out the American Cup is a SCAM. They dropped all three A-Team guys and are sending B-team or even C-team guys.

Japan's sending the big guns though. Their guys will win handily.

Japan will give the US some real competition. Maybe it will be worth watching. Haruka and Daiki will be a treat to watch!

Who did you expect? One name makes me question the choices, especially since the other countries' rosters are impressive.

But it looks like PHI is testing out depth as they make a run for LA28. Including Filipino-Americans.

Finnegan and Malabuyo both had surgeries recently. Eldrew is signed for the World Cup. Garcia and Andrew, I can understand. I was hoping for Supnet, Antone or Nyland since Ruivivar and Manzano are currently competing in the NCAA. Let's see how this goes.

Ticket prices are pretty good, were they always this low or are they getting desperate? $28 for any seat. If it was within driving distance I would go.



ETA: To answer my own question lol I scrolled back through the thread and no, ticket prices were not always this low. Single session tickets were originally $63 each

$68 is still pretty reasonable! I'm pretty sure I paid more than that in 2008.

Again I ask, why Henderson Fucking Nevada? Why not Madison Square Garden? That's where the inaugural American Cup was held in 1976--50 years ago! Does the anniversary mean nothing? I would totally go. I'd drag my daughter, my husband, and possibly even my mom. I'd embarrass all of them by yelling "jiayou" for the Chinese team.

This all seemed a bit last minute as far as planning goes. MSG is booked years in advance. I'm guessing maybe costs was also a concern. They're not even holding it at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, they're out in freaking Henderson in a literal minor league arena.
