Thought it would be fun to see what happens to the 3 MAG NOCs and 5 (!) WAG NOCs that qualified their maximum 3 individual competitors and create a "team total" to see where the "team" would rank in TQ. Since TQ is 5-4-3, these "Teams" will be made up of 3 athletes, unsure if we will see them all go all around.

We can award gold, silver, and bronze in the 3 person team event! Who knows maybe we might see them rank higher than a full team in TQ (unofficially).

MAG
Belgium
Korea
Uzbekistan

WAG
Germany
Hungary
Mexico
Philippines
Spain

this is a cool idea, and it's amazing to see 8 different "teams" like this in one Olympics.

None of the MAG 3 countries put up 3 in the AA so no "team score"...but curious what their average per routine would be. I'll run the data soon.

Mexico, Spain, and Philippines have all 3 gymnasts doing aAA according to the start list.

Hungary and Germany have 2 AAers and a specialist.

That will be fun to see which of those three "win" and how their 3 up 3 count would compare with everyone else's 4 up, 3 count.

Biles is one Olympic medal from surpassing Shannon Miller as most decorated American Olympic gymnast. She's held that since 1996 and Biles tied with her in Tokyo beam finals.

152.696 for Philippines. Quite far off, Netherlands is currently last at 159.096.

Mexico didn't end up having 3 routines on every event. Escalera was only able to do bars due to injury.

Both Phillippines and Spain would have beaten Korea!
Spain 153.462, Phillippines 152.696.

I hope that the Phillippines trio continues toward Los Angeles. This score here would have been 17th at Worlds. This is with not being able to drop a score.

The other three countries didn't have 3 scores on all events.

Korea had a terribly difficult day. Only one score above 13.....which was Yeo's 14.4 on vault. Every other counting score was in the 12s.

This is true, they did have a bad day. But also I think Finnegan fell off beam as well?

If Suni wins a beam medal tomorrow, she will tie Shannon Miller for 2nd morst decorated US Olympic gymnast in history.
A gold would put her above Shannon with 3 golds to Shannon's 2.
