The victim, 21-year-old Kara Welsh from Plainfield, Illinois, was a gymnast going into her senior year at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, school officials said Saturday.

Yup. A detective I know puts it like this: “Who kills women? Men kill women.” When a woman is killed the first person the cops look at is the husband or boyfriend.
