Have we seen video evidence before, or was it just rumoured? I don't recall seeing a video, but I do miss things...

Anyway, there you have it. There's no date for the video, but I'm guessing it was taken before her knee/leg issues this spring. Otherwise I'm not sure why she wouldn't have competed it, it's much cleaner and safer looking than some Chengs we saw in competition.

Torn LCL, bone bruise, and a fracture will wreck anyone's plans to upgrade vault

True, but we didn't see it in 2022 or last year either when it was rumored she had Cheng. Granted Chiles and Carey were both not at their best in 2023.

My best guess is it wasn't ready for 22 or 23. Doing NCAA and then immediately shifting to elite doesn't leave a ton of time to train new skills. But I can believe that taking off the 24 NCAA season meant the Cheng was very much in play until her injury.

That makes sense. I thought the Cheng was rumored for a while, but made I am remembering incorrectly.

I'm almost certain she was throwing them into the pit but not close of competition ready.

I think most people thought her Lopez was Cheng-able and it was too bad she never managed to get that upgrade. Glad she posted this. it is too bad it never made it to competition but nice to see that it wasn't because she was topped out difficulty-wise.
