Figure skaters don't have trouble with it (much less just a double, on a springed floor). Literally everyone in Eteri's camp does Triple-Triple's off ice every day.
Look at their takeoff. It is not from a squared position, but from a moving entry with what gymnastics would call a "cheat" on the floor, but what is correct technique in figure skating. They also often land 1/4ish rotation shy of fully around, so you are looking at 2.5 rotations in air from a moving entry, a very different skill. Also the triple jumps off-ice are linked by chasse-like steps.

Now, Ilia Kulik could do it, but we are talking exceptions, not rules when we get to that point. My point is it is hella hard.

It's practiced from squared position as well. Triple-triple from total standstill on the floor. Only need steps for a Triple Axel.

It doesn't need to be done from standstill in gymnastics in the first place. You can do a roundoff beforehand or some manner of running jump.

I was talking about a Double anyway, lol? That skill and the Moerz should be all over the place at C value. Most gymnasts are throwing points away with their choice of dance elements when these exist.
