You can read the official committee minutes here.

  1. Increase the number of exhibition routines a gymnast can do to three without losing a year of eligibility.
  2. Increase number of meets that count towards NQS to better reflect and reward consistency across the entire season. No new number of meets that will count towards NQS was given in the minutes.
  3. Increase NCAA championship squad size to 20 to align with new roster limits.
  4. Limits the maximum number of neutral site meets within a 30 mile radius of campus that count as an AWAY meet for NQS to one. "This would include multiteam invitationals, duals, tri-meets, quad-meets and/or conference championships. A neutral-site contest in excess of the one permitted away contest would be designated as home contest for NQS purposes." Additional neutral site meets within 30 miles would count as HOME meets for NQS purposes.

On board with all of these, but sad they still aren’t making changes to the code to stop rewarding two pass routines without an e-level pass or requiring a single bar release.
That would come from a different committee. This was just in regards to championships.

Wow, that is total homerism. How about this, do they have to bus or fly to a hotel? Do they have to sleep in a hotel prior to a meet? Have their team meals on conference space? Do stretch/conditioning/PT in makeshift room? Do they have to go through all the standard hassles and planning hurdles that they would for a "traditional" away meet?

And dealing with the home team's crowd?
