Yeah, she did. I can't remember exactly what it was, but definitely some MLM stuff.

I think she got very lucky with Simone, but also her experience at EVO in Florida burned her out. My understanding was parents were flocking to her but had really insane and unreasonable expectations about their kids (no surprise). The gym owners didn't care, they wanted the money that came with having Simone Biles's Coach, crazy gym parents be damned. Hence her willingness to coach elites in other countries and not have to deal with developing her own athletes or crazy US parents.

Had Simone never crossed her path, she probably would be churning out good level 10s, getting some to qualify to level 10 nationals and some college scholarships.

I think that Simone and Aimee had a unique chemistry. When Simone was a junior her nerves and her power were out of control. Aimee "got" Simone and knew what she needed both psychologically and in terms of actual training. So its not just that she got lucky and happened to train someone with Simone's insane level of raw talent. I really think she was somehow uniquely suited to hone that raw talent into consistent gold medal winning talent. But that did not mean that Aimee would be an outstanding elite level coach for other gymnasts.

I think Simone would have found the success she did or at least get close to it with a number of coaches. I wonder what her trajectory would have been like had she ended up at Woga or with Zmeskal or even a place like Parkettes.

Not sure i agree. Well, some success but not the same success. Clearly she has natural talent but so did Skinner and loads of other gymnasts who burnt out, injuried out, or just never panned out early. Having a coach who wasn't ego-invested in her success, really seemed to work. Probably because Simone is very self motivated and didn't need a coach forcing her to perform. The string of failed WOGA or GAGE gymnasts is longer than their successes. And whether it was Boorman or Simone who was the driving force behind the slow, steady, strong pace, it definitely set her up for potential success better than Spini's handling of Skinner (not to only be picking on her, but she is a pretty close analog of Simone's).
