I don’t think that gymReddit has a particularly young demographic. Reddit on the whole doesn’t attract large numbers of younger users and I’d be very surprised to find any regular gym redditors under 25
This reminds me of a spat I had on there not long ago. We were arguing over whatever it was and the other person kept saying they were sure I was very young. It was evident that I was expected to respond by indignantly offering my adult credentials up so they could say you sound half your age or whatever. As I'm a dick, I ignored it and carried on about my millennial day, pondering lower back pain and how the fuck it's over 30 years since Mo Huilan came on the scene.

It was all quite odd. I never did find out how old they were.

About the other languages, I am a member of another popular online community and you are permitted to type posts in other languages but it's encouraged that you include a translation into English if possible. Sometimes posts in other languages are helpful for attracting a more diverse demographic to the site, because if a user searches for something about gymnastics in say, Spanish, then this site would come up in their search.

I like it a lot, and in 2026, it's easier than ever to get good translations with little effort. Thank you for making that point!

Honestly this is a great way for me to practice languages I barely use and I am kind of here for it

Edit to note- reading them and not writing them, beyond English and a little Spanish
Back in the 00s, it wasn't nearly so long since I'd done not particularly high level French and Spanish at school, and before reliable translation software. Sometimes I used to read news articles online and see how much I could make out of them, or the language forums on GW. Lost the habit, unfortunately, and then internet translation did the rest. And it's true what they say about use it or lose it!
