These are just off the top of my head. I am sure I am missing more. Canada sends a ton of NCAA gymnasts, many of whom attend lower ranked D1 teams or D2/D3 teams, especially those along the border.
 
I think that was the case with Chloe Sims unfortunately.
Jo Hughes also did NCAA in the late 90s.
Another reason is financial. The Australian dollar to USD isn’t good exchange. If family back in Aus is paying living expenses, travel etc it can be expensive.
