I really don't understand the hype surrouding Simone Rose. This is her third year as a senior, but she still looks very juniorish to me.

I do like Charleigh Bullock, although I know she still needs a lot of fine-tuning.

I don't think Hezley Rivera or Clare Pease will survive the season.

They announced the junior assignments this morning along with the National Team presentation in the arena, so hopefully we'll get the senior assignments that quickly as well.

Wow they only named 7 to the National Team (8 with Jayla Hang's injury petition), and only 5 are going to Jesolo. High Performance Team was unimpressed tonight.

Simone Rose was very nice as a junior. She just never evolved beyond that.

They are really making them earn these assignments now.

But the fake domestic scoring isn't going to do them any favours.

At least the likes of Rose and Hardie have a foundation to build upon. But most of the juniors and newer seniors just look so out of their depth. I’ve said this for a couple of years now. Many people are all oh isn’t it great that juniors look like juniors now. Well no, they don’t. They aren’t doing good basics with ease, they are struggling to do even very average elite difficult

I suspect it's because 8th place didn't score above a 51.50, which is what needs to be scored for a "wildcard" opportunity to go to nationals. Not wanting to reward sub-par gymnastics with international assignments and such. So only 7 national team members to pick from, since Hang is still injured.

To be fair, the scoring at American Cup may be similar to tonight's.

But the international field for AmCup isn't weak. They may regret not having that 2nd floor score.

It says Deut 31:6. It's a new verse, she had a different verse at Nationals.

It basically just says be strong. The Nationals one was about perseverance.

ETA: Whoops sorry she had two different verses at Nationals, one for each day. The 2nd Nats one was about gaining energy.
