I've been to Singapore, and I didn't want to leave. Or, well, my next destination was Cambodia. I wanted to go back to Singapore and stay there. So I get it.

I loved Singapore when I was there. Granted, I was just visiting and I know that's entirely different from living and working there. FWIW, a former coworker lived there for years in her youth (military brat) and she still wishes to move back.

I couldn't find captions, but my (limited) understanding is that she basically said "I don't want to" when asked if she's going to celebrate or party.

Stanford is basically an Ivy. I doubt anyone in Singapore would have a problem attending. She doesn't sound interested anyway.
