Kind of reminds me of Sveltana baitova. Wasnt she always placing 4th
I hardly consider AA finals and two EFs a bummer for someone who was widely considered to have zero chance of even making the team as late a the afternoon of September 30.Worlds was a bummer for Dulcy, but this was not a big surprise
Definitely another case in point, though I think I found her not making the Athens EF harder to bear.2002 UB EF
Agreed. If you’d told her 13th in the world and two EF at the start of the year (or 30/9 as RedBirdie points out), she’d have taken that in a heartbeat.I hardly consider AA finals and two EFs a bummer for someone who was widely considered to have zero chance of even making the team as late a the afternoon of September 30.
Yeah, that was more a testament to Soviet depth than anything else. Baitova was excellent in every way. Voinea is just her own worst enemy. Not really the same thing. Baitova was always 4th because she couldn’t beat her own team mates
Agreed. I wonder if she'll compete at the SEA Games. She could contend for an AA medal.I think Amanda Yap wins the "Gained the most fans" award here. I hope she updates us on how her exams go, I'm invested now.
As long as she doesn't immediately hie off to college and stop progressing. I guess at this point, it might behoove Florida to hire an elite coach... though you can't complain about their ability to get their gymnasts on the team and close to the podium.I’m really glad that 17 is not considered an old lady now in WAG. Dulce could be a player in the next few years.
