Lan Xingyu has been relegated to China's B-team many times — and that's how he won 2021 Worlds. He's so good on this event though, and I kind of want him to win again, though I am always happy to see Petrounias win...

But who wouldn't want Don Don to win? :-)

I thank Prod that Kaylia saved us from yet another Melnikova gold.

Skye was so close to a medal.
And .2 could be found anywhere in her routine, but this is a great routine as a jumping-off point to upgrade and clean up. Skye could be in the medal hunt later on in the quad. That will heavily depend on Florida's coaches, though.

That bars final was great.

Kaliya's routine is crazy good. Melnikova has impressed me. I didnt expect her to return in such good form but good on her. Skye with her best routine for the season

And I'm so happy Kate hit bars 2/2. Hopefully this gives her a huge confidence boost for the rest of the quad and we can see her regularly being in these finals.

I had Caio Souza down at 8.5... Lots of unsteadiness throughout, and he cowboys the triple, though I feel like that should be allowed on triples... I only took 0.1 for that...

I refuse to deduct foot form on triple tucks.

ETA: He got 8.466...

Petrounias's E-scores could be all over the place because some of his holds were borderline... Some judges will take the 0.3 deduction (there is no 0.1 deduction for a short hold) and others won't.

I had 8.7, but on a generous day, I could have had 9.3.
