Off to an interesting start this week. LSU just squeaked past Kentucky 197.200-197.075, and Alabama had big struggles on vault.

Anya Pilgrim was injured on vault. Jenny said she's being evaluated and out the rest of the meet. No idea what happened because instead of gymnastics we got the end of some shitty basketball game.

Whatever the judges were smoking in Norman tonight, I want some. Not sure I've seen such wildly incoherent scoring.

Lily Pederson's carriage and presentation is just so junior-ish. Yes, she's very small and peppy, but it's more than that. And it just seems incredibly strange in NCAA.

Utah also cracked 198. Grace McCallum had three 9.975s. Definitely curious to see video.

Wow, that was downright painful watching Florida go through that. What a rough night for them. Last time it was V crashing into the vault table. Now this. They need a week off to mentally recover.

Good to see Bama showing something, even after horrible vault rotation. Looks like that 9 spot is going to be between Bama and Arkansas. Both teams have been a disappointment this year.

Best thing about Georgia is their consistency. They are not a top team, but they are showing a level of consistency that we havent seen in 10 years. So with their talent it puts them in the conversation.

Didnt see Utah, but internet believes it was only slightly overscored and their best meet.

I guess the exciting thing, heading into the home stretch of the regular season, is that it really does feel much more wide open as to who can win it all this year. LSU and OU are clearly the most talented and the highest ceiling, but they only seem to perform at peak at their home (understandable). So can make foro an exciting post-season.

UGA should be ranked in the top 10 come Monday. Some naysayers on another thread said it would take 3-4 years for them to get to this point. Looks like the co-head coaches experiment may be working after all. They should also be ranked 5th or 6th in the hardest gymnastics conference in the land. While this may not hold until the end of the season it is safe to say at this point that they have found a consistency this year that was absent under CKC. Except for their first meet where they had to count a fall on beam by a freshman they have been on. Their team scores have steadily climbed with each meet expect one where they went down by .075. Now let's see if they can best that 197.350.
