Is that the norm in Asia? Here in russia you can attend competitions for free. This is how it’s always been and a lot of people in the sports community view it as a point of principle. Our political history means there is a tradition of national championships must be witnessed by the public. Of course, nowadays you can buy tickets online, but this is really only necessary if you want to secure a certain seat, avoid queuing or think the event will be oversubscribed. I’ve spent 3 days on a train to attend events I don’t have a ticket for

But back to America. I don’t understand USAG’s business strategy here. Surely they want a full arena? If they are confident in selling out an arena at those prices, isn’t it better to go for a larger arena, reduce the price but have a larger number of people there buying merchandise etc

Maybe I'm just used to Canadian prices (generally higher), but my initial impression was the $61 isn't that bad.

$230 was all-sessions, including 2 sessions of senior women.

This year it's $85 for all-session tickets, so that's absolutely the route to go. Even if you skip Hopes, we're still coming out way ahead by doing all session if you want to see juniors and seniors.

And all-session seats are in the lower bowl. No upper level tickets for all-session.

I dunno, depends on where it is I guess. Rhythmic Asian Champs were in Singapore last month and that was $40 for general admission. Chinese Nationals were 30 to 120元 depending on the session/seats.

I imagine everyone interested in competing for a spot at Worlds would show at least a couple routines
