RGF says they are letting their AIN athletes compete internationally now. Just changed course in the last couple of days. Guess we'll see who shows up at worlds.
Only trampoline so far. However judges across several disciplines have been given international assignments.

Here is the RGF press release as published on the federation website. It mentions an entry application for the French international in September. This is likely just standard practice, but it may be a realistic timeframe of when we might see Russian artistic gymnasts compete internationally

Adex streamed the day 2 broadcast on Twitter here:

The power goes out in the arena/city midway through the FX final for about a half an hour.

Looks like they didn’t give Neymour an acro series on beam. Only a 5.6D. I thought you still got the CR for a repeat skill in a series - but I guess not.

Relying on the Two Foot Layout as her only acro series, when she mounts with a LOSO, if she has a habit of putting her foot down if it’s short, is a real risk.

It’s like Steingruber and her Gogean before the Split Full. No one ever thought it would be an issue until it was.

They should nix that whole pass and work on adding a BHS after the LOSO LOSO mount.

Yes, though any even better "solution" would be for FIG to count the mount as a series, which it clearly is. ETA: I see @Aeris beat me to this! :-)

Actually, I would love to see LOSO mount + LOSO + back pike (whip) for E + C + C + 0.4 some day. Three elements and a requirement done in just a couple seconds. A front salto, a dance series, a spin, and a dismount, and you've avoided deductions and have lots of time to dance.

That's what's going to happen, isn't it? Because we can't have nice things. Stupid FIG. As if that isn't a proper acro series. But no doubt the bhs loso that'll replace it will add ever so much more to the routine than an interesting, unusual and daring mount combo.

8 skills only routine:

LOSO mount (E) + LOSO (C) + BHS split sit (C, still waiting to be named, and waiting to be used by tons of gymnasts with the side aerial, first performed by a Russian gymnast at national competition in the 70's or 80's if anyone can find a video)
Triple wolf (E)
Side Straddle (C) + Tuck 1/1 (D)
Roundoff (B) + Double Arabian (G)

But probably we can allow a couple more skills if someone is capable of such an ambitious mount and dismount. Can't leave home without a requisite aerial combo.

Is this a mistake she has ever made before, though? It seemed like a freak occurrence. I'd love for her to upgrade to add another LOSO after the mount series, Mari Kosuge style.

That's why I said back pike. It would not only get the extra 0.2 in bonus, but also another C that can count in the exercise.

Even a Chen-type element would do that actually. I thought we would see more of those. they're hard, but they are Cs and would get plenty of bonus to justify themselves.
