FYI for other people scanning the nominative roster, some of the WAG competitors ended up in the MAG column.

Do we know how the Worlds broadcast is going to work this year - i.e., will it be pay-walled like this event and the Paris WC? (I'm asking because they're offering a package for the rest of the year, which may be worthwhile if I'm going to have to pay to watch Worlds.)

FYI for other people scanning the nominative roster, some of the WAG competitors ended up in the MAG column.

I think I've fixed them all, they should be moved over into the right columns now.

Also I wrote that the start time is 3pm because that's what it says on the FIG's directives page, but I just noticed the FIG live stream page has a different time (and a whole different day) so I'm unsure which one will ultimately be correct lol.

ETA: Nevermind I just found this in the comments on their FB, so 3pm CEST is the real time.

Jess Gadirova is on the list, but she's withdrawn from worlds due to injury. I guess we'll see who shows up for GB on Friday.

This and Paris were part of Romania worlds qualifiers, so I suppose the team will now be Golgota, Mihai, Oprea, Voinea, so long as nobody has a disaster at Szombathely. Quite neat if they can have Golgota and Mihai AA, Voinea VT, BB, FX, Oprea UB.

Ceplinschi is thankfully not injured, but has decided not to compete this year! It's crazy how much perseverence she has shown since 2022

Excited for Anamaria Mihaescu getting this opportunity though, she seems to be having a breakout year and is training lots of exciting upgrades. She joined Corina's group in Bucharest this year

It was easy to miss because I haven't seen any footage and she didn't make finals, but she actually vaulted twice in Paris this month. DTY and something valued at 4.4.

She did a DTY and a Tsuk full in Paris - unfortunately she finished in 9th place in quals (3rd of the 3 that had average scores in the 13.2s) - in fact Melnikova beat her and made EF thanks to the 0.2 bonus rule

I suppose you could have Sabrina do vault in qualifications and hope it's an absolute splatfest. But from the Americas alone, Karla Navas, Lia Monica Fontaine, and Leanne Wong are all clearly better. Maybe Ellie Black will do 2 vaults as well.

I suppose you could have Sabrina do vault in qualifications and hope it's an absolute splatfest. But from the Americas alone, Karla Navas, Lia Monica Fontaine, and Leanne Wong are all clearly better. Maybe Ellie Black will do 2 vaults as well.

It's really hard to tell - Navas really struggled in Paris qualification (I think she fell on vt 1) and only qualified in 8th place to vt final - just 0.017 ahead of Sabrina

If she weren't endangering the ankles, I'd say Voinea of all gymnasts would benefit from more practice at vaults in competition. They've failed her a couple of times when the stakes were high.

I'm fairly certain Ellie Black will go. If she didn't want to compete at Worlds she wouldn't have put her body through the selection event, and if she wants to go she will be on the team.
