She has really lovely technique but she doesn’t look ready yet to add the sort of difficulty to be competitive at senior level.

I wouldn’t expect her to be. She is still a Junior next year. 2011.

Which, honestly, makes her current achievements all that more impressive.

4. Do we know who Blanaru's coach is? With all the usual caveats about how people might change their behaviour in front of a camera, she really seemed to have a warm and positive rapport with her athlete. That kinda jumped out at me with all the bad news coming out of Romania.

Yes, but she trains full time at Deva with Adela Popa’s group, and Adela is the coach sitting with her in kiss and cry.

What I meant was, isn’t Deva currently dissolved and everyone has to train at their home club?
