USA/ITA were on a bye so I went and got breakfast.

Now they're on VT but there's no scoreboard visable on the VT screen so I don't know who the Italians are or anyone's scores now. At least two of the Italians did two vaults, I missed the first one flipping around streams trying to see if the VT scores were visable from another stream.

Isabella Anzola VT: 12.733 and 12.466
Oh they're all doing two vaults. I guess they're allowing vaults from the same family at this competition. Anzola does a FTY followed by a Yurchenko Layout. They were both decent.

Gabrielle Hardie VT: 13.333 and 12.666
FTY first, good height but her hands were off to the side of the table so she landed pretty off center. Her score took forever, whatever it was. Second vault is a Yurchenko Layout. Her hands were in the middle of the table this time but she still landed off center.

Camie Westerman VT: 13.433 and 13.200
Very nice 1.5TY, she had good form in her preflight. I just missed the beginning of her 2nd VT because she went again so fast, but it was a FTY.

ETA: Went back and added scores from the final results.

Going into the last rotation, USA now moves ahead of both French teams and Italy. Canada is in 1st but they're the only ones who didn't have a bye yet. USA and Italy end on UB while FRA 1&2 go to FX.

Vittoria Ferarini: That was a really rough routine with no dismount, but she didn't fall so good for her. ETA: 11.366

Angelica Finiguerra: Much better than the first girl, dbl tuck dismount. The scoreboard on UB has stopped updating for some reason, it's stuck on the last rotation. Oop, now it's working, 12.366

Rebecca Aiello: Very nice, I missed the first half in the excitment of the scoreboard updating. 12.266

---

Isabella Anzola UB
A lot of legs coming apart. Almost fell over out of handstand twice. Kinda messy dbl layout dismount. 12.233

Camie Westerman UB
Really short routine, she moves kinda slowly on UB. Wobbly pirouettes. Just a dbl pike dismount. 12.633

Gabrielle Hardie UB
Ooh no the first fall for USA, first transition to highbar missed her hands. Gets back up and catches it on retry. Rest of the routine is solid, dbl layout dismount. That's a shame, that would have been a good routine. 12.000

Just caught the second half of Elena Colas on FX, bit of rough landings on the dbl pike and dbl tuck. And of course the FX feed ended before her score came up lol.

Yes, the junior rules allow gymnasts to perform two vaults from the same family.

Kayla DiCello won the 2019 junior world vault gold with a DTY and a FTY.

Team Final and All Around Final podiums. I wish they weren't all wearing practically the same leo.

Also USAG has posted all 12 individual American routines in this Twitter thread.

combs start list.png

USA - Gabrielle Hardie 13.000 + 12.466
One-touch ended on VT and they have her just waiting standing at the end of the runway forever. Decent FTY, hands were really far at the end of the table but still safely on and in the middle this time. Yurchenko layout 2nd vt, big jump back.

ITA - Rebecca Aiello 13.400 + 13.066
1.5TY, her knees were bent. FTY, better, hop back.

ROU - Adriana Ionescu 13.1 + 13.166
1.5TY, legs bent in the air. FTY, nice, stuck

ITA - Vittoria Ferarini 13.266 + 12.333
Kinda wacky run, FTY stuck cold! 2nd vault is Yurchenko layout with a giant hop back, similar to Hardie.

FRA - Maiana Prat 13.166 + 12.533
Very nice and floaty FTY, small hop. Yurchenko layout, little piked in hips and hop back. These easier vaults are all looking worse than their main vaults.

USA - Camie Westerman 13.366 + 13.200
1.5TY good distance, hop foward and over the line I think. FTY, very nice form in the air, small hop.

Junior Vault Final Results
1. 🇺🇸 USA - Camie Westerman - 13.283
2. 🇮🇹 ITA - Rebecca Aiello 13.233
3. 🇷🇴 ROU - Adelina Ionescu 13.133

5. 🇮🇹 ITA - Vittoria Ferarini 12.799
6. 🇺🇸 USA - Gabrielle Hardie 12.733

ETA: Westerman didn't get a penalty for going over the line (I was unsure if she did or not.)

ITA - Angelica Finiguerra 4.6D - 12.633
It's again a really long wait to start. She's stuck standing up there for a while. Straddled Jaeger. Legs get a little twisty on her pirouettes, loose form. Her dismount is just a flyaway with a half.

USA - Camie Westerman 4.8D - 12.600
Starts on the low bar, goes to high, Straddled Tkachev, dbl pike dismount. Moves slowly and doesn't do a lot.

FRA - Elena Colas 5.3D - 12.433
I can't believe I missed the whole first half of her routine because I was tabbed over to the scores. I saw her do an inbar then she dismounted. Not sure what went wrong, she qualified in 1st with a 13.666, maybe she fell.

USA - Isabella Anzola 5.0D - 12.333
Loose leg form, legs apart on transition, straddled tkachev, straddled jaeger, loose legs on transition again, DBL Layout dismount stuck. 12.333

FRA - Romane Hamelin 5.4D - 12.566
two inbars on lowbar, nice straddled jaeger, pak ohh and she's off on.. a cast to handstand? Gets back on and just dismounts with a flyaway. I thought she was going to be the one to beat in the first half. 12.566

ITA - Rebecca Aiello 5.4D - 12.400
started off good with nice form, struggled with the pak and couldn't regain composure, things started getting looser, was almost going over in her handstands and then she peeled off the highbar. I think it was a full twisting dbl back dismount.

Junior Uneven Bars Final Results
1. 🇮🇹 ITA - Angelica Finiguerra 12.633
2. 🇺🇸 USA - Camie Westerman 12.600
3. 🇫🇷 FRA - Romane Hamelin 12.566
4. 🇫🇷 FRA - Elena Colas 12.433
5. 🇮🇹 ITA - Rebecca Aiello 12.400
6. 🇺🇸 USA - Isabella Anzola 12.333

Alright there was a bunch of dance performances, they took a break, and now there's a long warmup. I am so confused by this beam warmup because there's definitely more than 6 people warming up. I thought it was one-touch but this is too long to be one-touch, so I guess it's just a second full warmup with Hopes mixed in?

Anyway, whoever this is has a really cute rainbow leo. ETA: She won silver on BB in the Espoir division, so this is Melayna Legrand from France.

Memmel is judging on beam.

FRA - Perla Denechere 4.4D - 11.566
Running layout stepout mount. front aerial. overall tentative but not wobbling. 3 acro series. double wolf turn a little messy. back tuck. she's moving at a nice slow pace, it's consistent. dbl pike dismount, chest so low her forehead nearly grazed the mat and big step forward.

USA - Gabrielle Hardie 4.9D - 12.933
Running switch leap mount. dbl wolf turn. 2 acro series. front aerial, leap, back stepout not really connected. I like her choreo. Very high dbl twist landed nicely.

CAN - Samantha Couture 5.0D - 12.266
Press handstand mount into low beam choreo and requisite dbl wolf turn. 2 acro series. nearly fell off on some choreo. side somi, wobble. straddle half, big wobble bent in half. round off 1.5 twist dismount? maybe it was a 2.5 but it didn't look like that many twists.

USA - Camie Westerman 4.6D - 11.933
Candlestick mount. low beam choreo but no wolf turn! 2 acro series. Onodi (I think), wobble. dbl turn with arms above her head, really nice but she wobbled and bent at the waist after. She has a gainer tuck something dismount.

FRA - Elena Colas 5.6D 13.733
Running switch leap mount. 3 acro series. two leaps, slight pause between. front tuck a little low. front aeriel, hesitation, leap, korbut. wolf turn that was more than dbl but I lost count. big round off dbl pike, hop.

ARG - Fila Dalinger 4.3D - 10.166
round off back layout stepout mount, big wobble. 3 acro series, bit uncontrolled at the end. Full L turn. She's wobbling just walking on the beam, every landing is jittery. really nice low beam choreo. I think that was a single wolf turn then she almost fell off. Side aerial (I think) and she's off the beam. round off dbl twist dismount, which was decent.

Junior Beam Final Results
1. 🇫🇷 FRA - Elena Colas 13.733
2. 🇺🇸 USA - Gabrielle Hardie 12.933
3. 🇨🇦 CAN - Samantha Couture 12.266

Colas turns senior in 2026.

ITA - Angelica Finiguerra 4.8D - 13.133
I think whip, 2.5 twist, punch front. 2nd pass dbl back. memmel turn. 3rd pass Dbl twist. I can tell you nothing about the leaps other then there was some in there. Her landings were all fine.

USA - Gabrielle Hardie 4.9D - 13.366
Starts off with a dbl wolf turn right away. 2.5 twist punch front layout. 1.5 to full I think, might have been more twists in there. leap series. dbl tuck. Everything was pretty good, high tumbling and no big mistakes, just the regular small hops.

ITA - Rebecca Aiello 4.9D - 13.133
Very expressive choreo to start. Dbl pike, hop. 2.5 twist punch front tuck. leap series. dbl wolf turn. dbl tuck. something twisting leap.

USA - Camie Westerman 4.7D - 12.466
2.5 twist to front layout, looked like she might not make it but it was fine. 1.5 to front full. full twisting straddle jump. I think a triple turn, fell out of it a bit. dbl pike.

FRA - Maiana Prat 5.0D - 12.933
dbl L turn, fell out. front layout through to dbl pike. twisting leap. front 1.5, full. more twisting leaps. 2.5 twist. dbl wolf turn to end.

FRA - Perla Denechere 5.2D - 13.133
Full twisting straddle jump. full twist through to dbl tuck. 2nd pass is piked full in! leap series. 2.5 twist front layout, bit scrappy. dbl wolf turn. dbl pike.

Hopefully I got these twists right, it's hard for me to tell without slow mo replays lol.

Junior Floor Final Results

Three way tie for silver!

The lyrics on some of these songs for the dance performances that happen during breaks are.. not even something I could type here.

Uh.. I guess they broke the tie on FX? They're doing the medal podium right now and just announced and awarded Aiello as the bronze medalist, Finiguerra as silver, Hardie as gold, and Perla Denechere wasn't announced at all. They are all tied as silver on the livescore page, with Hardie gold.

I feel like it's kinda shitty to break ties at a Junior competition.

No relation. Romanians have very little surname diversity, which is why middle names are much more prominent than in most other places. Because a lot of people have the exact same surname. We’ve already had 2 gymnasts by the name of Andreea Munteanu. We’ve also had a couple of gymnasts with the surname Guțu which is the same surname as Tatiana Gutsu

Pretty solid vaulting from Westerman, she is going to be a top recruit for 2027.
