    Team USA moving forward

Yes, and, the poor showing was more about injuries than anything else. Dawes, Borden, Chow, Powell were all out with injuries. Miller and Thompson were competing with injuries. More than anything else that meet indicated that USA would need its A team to vie for the gold in Atlanta and that's...

    2025 World Championships: Women’s Qualifications Day 1 October 20/ Day 2 October 21

Yes, she would have been first AA without the beam fall. And, if she had also stood up her vault, she would be way out front in the AA standings.

    2025 World Championships: Women’s Qualifications Day 1 October 20/ Day 2 October 21

Wong is really good at qualifying into worlds - she's made it onto the team all but her first try in 2019. But, she struggles to deliver at worlds. Same in NCAA - her performances throughout the year were often very good and at nationals she was inconsistent.

2025 US World Team Trials (start 9/29/25; Juniors start 10/13)

it does seem most likely that its between hang and blakely for the final spot. Sullivan has an outside shot but more likely that she'll get an alternate spot. Whoever gets named, my best guess is that they're not going to assign whose doing what events/the AA until after podium training. There...

Event (FIG) 2025 Worlds, Women AA: As the field thins, who will capitalize?

i would love to see Nemour win the AA. Aside from what vault she throws, beam is the other big question mark. for the past few seasons she's put up a handful of great beam routines like the one above but hasn't pulled that level of routine off at a worlds or olympics. The good news for her is...

Event 2025 US Nationals Senior Women Day 2 (Sunday, August 10, 2025)

In general the AAers for worlds doesn't feel settled other than Hezly if she continues to hit. What Wong did with the Cheng and her consistency was put herself in much stronger contention but that second spot could be taken by Wong, Hang, Pease, or Roberson. I'm glad that its competitive and it...

    2025 US Classic

I agree with what everyone's saying about Hezly. That said, she has the difficulty to compete for an AA spot and the options in the AA are not great at this point. Last year she had a terrible performance across all 4 events at classics and showed up at nationals looking like a different gymnast...

    2025 US Classic

Some recent training videos of Jordan doing some of her elite skills below. Not sure if she's just playing around or keeping them fresh for a return down the road. In 2022 she came back at nationals so she might do the same this year. My hope is that she takes this year off from elite - she's...

That's a huge get for UCLA

    NCAA Transfer Portal 2025-26

That makes more sense than Emily transferring. She’s been such a champion of UCLA and the team.

NCAA 2025 NCAA Championships (April 17-19)

Leanne is a beautiful gymnast and she's also had consistency issues for the past few years in major team competitions. We saw what just happened in the semis, she also struggled on beam at SEC's this year. In 2024, she fell on beam in the final four. In 2023, she stumbled out of bounds on...

NCAA 2025 NCAA Championships (April 17-19)

I almost never watch the awards ceremony but did this time. Unfortunately one of the things that stuck out was Selena HM ignoring Emma Malabuyo when Emma came up to give Selena a hug during the beam awards. It was so tacky and only reinforced the narrative about the childish/mean girl behavior...

    NCAA 2025 NCAA Regionals Discussion

I thought the top 8 coming into regionals would produce a great nationals and it was also clear that Cal was the most at-risk of getting left behind with Bama at home. Regionals tends to be that meet where a small number of teams have a great meet and the others that make it through tend to grit...
