Norman approves $1 Billion entertainment disctrict with arena

This is coupled with a new $12 million training/team facility for athlete lounges, etc., Taj Mahal-type stuff that SEC $$ provides. I suspect OU will be reeling in a couple of #1 classes in the next couple of years. Schools like UCLA and Cal will be increasingly challenged to match. Gymnastics is becoming a big-money sport on the women's side of college athletics. When revenue sharing and scholarship limits go into effect next year.

Oklahoma was not having trouble getting in #1 recruits, so this will only benefit them long run.

It will be interesting to see if Oklahoma can win SECs. They will have more competition than they had in the Big 12.

That's kinda my point, if they are already getting #1 recruits, its going to get harder for others to break in. I cant wait to see them competing in the SEC

Oh, interesting. For the moment it sounds like they're going to remove that big mural, thus opening up a bunch more seats in their current venue. I guess they're expecting to draw more fans now that they're in the SEC or something?
