Keira's is the only beam routine that is questionable. The other 5 are have been scoring well this season, albeit all of them having a wobbly routine at some point this season. They may make me eat my words, but Oklahoma just doesn’t have it this year. They seemingly have no depth, which is the only explanation I can come up with as to why they are using so few gymnasts. I can’t figure out if KJ’s being stubborn about the beam lineup or if that’s really her best six routines.
After tonight I think the era of fewer 10s is over. It lasted maybe six weeks, LOL.
I feel like Pederson’s been pretty wobbly of late, but apparently she’s also a bit injured at the moment. I can understand that a LSU home meet is probably not the best place to throw someone new in the mix, but you would think they would be trying to give her a bit of a break. Instead she’s doing the all-around.Keira's is the only beam routine that is questionable. It's probably at the point she needs to try Ava again. But it's hard to put in someone as inconsistent as her. But no one else needs changed in that lineup.
I figured there was more to it. The internet made it sound like OU got on the bus home after they walked out. It didn't make sense to me that they would face the media after nationals last year but would storm away after a mid-season meet with LSU.According to people at the meet OU went into the tunnel to talk during Bryant’s floor and then came out and congratulated LSU. The tale of them storming out in anger is apparently more internet nonsense.
However, I am 99% sure Arizona State greased down the beam and that caused Utah to fall. That theory is absolutely my new favorite thing.
